Verarbeitet habe ich Spieks und Skulls aus Metall, Fliederfarbende Mijukyperlen, Swarovski Glaswachsperlen Cremfarbend in 3 und 6 mm, GSwarovski Doppelkegel Light Colorado Topaz in 3mm und Doppelkegel Crystal in 6mm, sowie ein Swarovski Herz Crystal Golden Shadow.

Batik - unity in diversity

Since the UNESCO had recognized batik as the world heritage from Indonesia, batik is worn anywhere in the city regardless of their ethnic backgrounds. Materials used: Swarovski pendants (triangle crystal, oval, square, ring) to represent different ethnic backgrounds; bicone crystal 4mm, 5 mm; cube crystals to represent buildings in the city with bicone crystal 4mm as light on the top and shadow of light on the bottom with bicone 4mm white crystal AB; batik on the center and back with Swarovski sew-on crystals; chain; brass component; lobster clasp.

Collier en aluminium,en ruban, une pierre de Tahiti taillée et polie en pièce centrale avec des perles de Tahiti tout le tour du collier et plusieurs formes et couleurs de cristaux de Swarovski. Ce bijou est original dans son asymétrie et ses différents composants. J'ai voulu promouvoir les matières locales que nous avons ici à Tahiti et les marier avec la modernnité. Ce bijou est comme une grande ville avec ses 1001 lumières.

INDUSTRIAL EVOLUTION

My Urban Jungle is a vast industrial site which surrounds where I live. By day it is ugly, belching grey smoke. By night it evolves into something magical, bursts of red & orange erupt from the flare stacks & cooling towers lighting up the sky which gradually turns violet then indigo, these are the colours I have used. While the platforms & towers are covered in thousands of tiny lights. The bows on my headband echo the cooling tower shape. I croched the band in a mesh style with many bicone crystals - as lights shining through the fence. I knitted wire mesh along the top with topaz crystals as fences within a fence & street lights shining.
Bicone crystals are geometric & I picked fire opal; dark indigo; amethyst; black diamond; burgundy; topaz & metallic blue in various sizes as these are the colours of the industrial plants at night.

A metal frame cuff with a triangle weave base of seed beads. Onto this I have sewn with wire 664 4mm Swarovski Bicone Crystals and a small border of 72 3mm Swarovski Bicone Crystals. This is finished off with a black satin ribbon which I wrapped around the silver metal frame, and a black satin back which I have sewn onto this frame. There are then 2 silver lobster claw clasps which can attach to 2 silver chains finished off with more crystals.
The shape of these Bicone Crystals and the subtle colour changes, means every time you look at it you see something new. Let it be the finishing touch to any outfit.

Midnight in St James Park

Inspired by the still quiet of St James park in London at night, with the light catching the blues of the water and the iridescent wings of mosquitoes. Instead of a moon there is a clock face, showing 5 minutes to midnight, and replacing the light of stars are the distant red lights of aeroplanes and the orange shine of a cats eyes in the dark.
